The Ladies Auxiliary is a subordinate national organization of AMVETS whose members (female veterans or relatives of AMVETS) provide a range of services and support to veterans, communities and other nonprofit organizations such as Paws With a Cause, the John Tracy Clinic and Freedoms Foundation.


To be eligible for membership in AmVets Ladies Auxiliary one must be:

1. Related to a member of AmVets.                                                                                
The specific relationships to an AMVETS member are:
Wife, Mother, Grandmother- Regardless of age.                                                       Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter.   Not less than 18 years of age.

2.Related to a deceased veteran who could have been eligible for membership in AmVets.                                                                                                                                      The specific relationships to a deceased veteran, who would have been eligible for membership in AMVETS are:
Wife, Mother, Grandmother.- Regardless of age.                                                 Daughter, Sister, Granddaughter.- Not less than 18 years of age.

3.A female veteran.                                                                                                        
Eligibility of a Female Veteran: She can be a member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary if she meets the requirements of regular membership set forth above. If she cannot meet the regular requirements for membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary or if she chooses to join AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary on her own right as a veteran then she must: Be an AMVET as defined in Article IV, Membership, Section 1 of the AMVETS Constitution.

Please call or come in to AmVets Post 45 for an application. You will also need to supply proof of your relative's AmVet membership or proof of relative's AmVet membership eligibility (for example: form DD214). For female veterans you will need only your DD214 and application. All applications will be reviewed prior to acceptance.
